Jeff Amburn - Guitar  As the son of a Baptist preacher, it seems I was always in church growing up. Hearing heartfelt gospel music has always been a special part of my life. I picked around on a cheap guitar as a kid but never thought anything would come of it. In 2005, I got my first Martin guitar as a birthday gift, and my Sunday School class bought guitar lessons as a Christmas gift. Shortly after, I began taking lessons from Justin Moses. I’m honored to be part of Rocky Flatts and to work for the Lord through bluegrass music. Dustin Atkins - Dobro I have been around bluegrass music all of my life, but to be honest, I never really cared much for it. My dad played the banjo while I was growing up and hearing it all of the time really burned me out. In 2001 I was playing drums for a band and we would do two sets; one rock and one bluegrass. In order to play both sets, I decided to take up the dobro. Through lots of guidance from my dad and good friend Johnny, I was on my way. I still have a lot to learn, but I keep pressing on every day. I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for saving me from my sins, my wife and daughter for all of the love and support, and my mom, dad, and sister for their encouragement. Shaun Kirkland - Bass My earliest childhood memories are those of music, particularly gospel. My papaw and granddaddy have been my inspiration. Growing up, my papaw always sang and played the guitar when he wasn't preaching the word of God. And my granddaddy was a choir leader and sang in quartets. Bluegrass got a hold on me and never let go. When I was eleven, my dad would take me every Saturday to a very musically talented man, who taught me to play the banjo and introduced me to the history and forefathers of bluegrass. Johnny became a dear friend who spent endless hours teaching me not only the banjo, but also the upright bass. Dad spent every minute with me during my training and still shares my desire for bluegrass music. God has blessed me with not only my music, but a saved soul, wonderful wife, and two amazing children. My prayer is that our music will touch your heart, and perhaps help a lost soul to know God. Jason Miller - Banjo I have been around bluegrass music all of my life, but to be honest, I never really cared much for it. Rusty Watson - Mandolin I was just a young boy when I got my start in music. I played the piano at Mt. Calvary church and sang for the Lord. Many people have influenced me and my decisions in life. My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the reason that I love to sing because He puts a song in my heart. I would like to thank my wife, Kristi, for her continued love and support even when times are hard. Also, thanks to my children Kyla and Silas for their big smiles and hugs. To my parents, thanks for always being there for me and raising me up to be the man that I am today. Thanks to my grandpa for his encouragement to never give up doing your best for the Lord, even when everything is going bad. Thanks to the band for putting up and being patient with me. Thanks to all of the area churches that have supported us and will continue to support us.
